Privacy Policy
This privacy policy statement applies to the
entire Equimax web site. Protecting your
privacy is important to us. We hope the following statement will help
you understand how Equimax collects, uses, and safeguards the personal
information you provide to us at our site.
1. Information we collect on-line
When
you browse our web site, we do not collect any personal information
from you without your knowledge. All
personal information collected is information that you enter by choice.
We
keep track of the following non-personal information for security and
marketing purposes: total hits at our web
site, total number of times each page is served, the URL of each host
computer visiting our site, the URL of each referring computer (search
engine or link), a list of web browser types used, and a list of
authorized subscribers accessing our List of Candidates and List of Jobs. We do
NOT use “cookies” for the collection of consumer information.
2. How we share the information we
collect
The
non-personal information described in section 1 above is collected for
marketing and security purposes. It helps
us determine things like which pages are of most interest to visitors,
which links to us on the internet are most effective, if we need to
contact an authorized subscriber to see if they are still looking for a
job or looking for help, etc. This information is not shared with any
third party.
The
personal information you enter when you place an on-line order or make
other types of requests at our web site is collected only to complete
the transaction or service you request. Information
collected for posting on the List of Jobs or the List of Candidates is distributed only in accordance with
the specific permission you have given us by submitting your order. This information is not shared with any
non-subscriber third party. (Exception:
some general information from your application may be posted to provide
samples of our listings to the general public. This
general information does NOT include your name, contact information, or
other identifying information.)
Once
an individual transaction is completed, all personal information
collected (including but not limited to name, address, email address,
telephone number, credit card information, etc.) is retained in our
client database for future use. Future use
includes things like determining the status of individual subscriptions
as they progress; servicing individual subscriptions; responding to
client requests for new subscriptions; and from time to time, when
circumstances warrant or the law requires, providing information to law
enforcement or other authorized entities such as credit card
processors. This information is not shared with
unauthorized parties such as mailing list providers and marketing
companies.
3. Choices you have regarding the uses of
information we collect
Some
information collected is required in order to process the transaction
you have requested. For instance, a name
and an email address are required for subscribing to our email
newsletter. You may choose to provide or
not provide this information; however, this required information must be
provided if you wish your transaction to be completed.
Certain
information is required in order to post a job on the List
of Jobs or post a summarized resume on the List of
Candidates. This required information
is indicated by an asterisk on our order forms. There is a privacy choice regarding some of
this required information. If you prefer
not to identify yourself and your contact information in your listing,
you may do so by selecting a confidential listing (extra charges apply). Some other information requested on the order
forms is NOT required. You may provide or
not provide the optional information as you choose, and your
transaction will be completed.
You
also have a choice regarding our free email newsletter. If you elect to
subscribe to our free email newsletter or we send you that newsletter
because we think you will be interested in the content, you may
terminate your subscription at any time by informing us that you no
longer wish to receive the email newsletter. Contact our office,
and tell us to stop sending the newsletter. When
placing an order on-line, you may opt out of the email newsletter in
advance by un-checking the box on the order form that indicates you
wish to receive it.
4. How we handle consumer inquiries
about their information or our privacy policy
For

regarding your privacy will be handled promptly and completely. Inquiries are handled on an individual basis
by a real person. Corrections to your
account or transaction information will be made with similar dispatch.
5. How we protect your information

Information
concerning your transaction is transmitted to our remote office from
our web site computers by PGP encrypted email using 128 bit encryption. Access to our office computers is protected by
strong passwords known only to our employees. Employees
are trained to keep personal information confidential. All sensitive
personal information such as credit card numbers and checking account
numbers are encrypted for storage using strong encryption. Our office internet connection is firewall
